A Life Time Journalist
KhmerPost USA Publisher and Editor Roger Samkhon Pin is a reputable Cambodian Journalist; one of the two people who’dinterviewed Pol-Polt in the world. He is the former President of Journalist Association of Cambodia (1993-1997), worked as the Director of Radio Free Asia for Cambodian Service (1998-2003), he then continued his own independent broadcast until 2008. He then met Soben Pin, together they launched the KhmerPost USA. A free biweekly Cambodian-American Newspaper. [Photo Roger Pin interviewed Pol-Pot in 1998 in Anlong Veng, Khmer Rouge Camp]

The Co-founder
KhmerPost USA was found in the basement of a friend, Tim Kouch in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2007. A picture of the Co-founder, Soben Pin, who then was in her junior year studying at Penn State University.

Fact #3
Marriage
Roger and his co-founder, Soben Pin, married in 2009. It was well attended by family and friends. On their wedding day, one of their close friends introduced Roger as the “18 years old young groom, long time ago!” The truth to be told in their romantic journey who shared the a common passion for journalism: their age gap was 36 years. Soben was then 26 years old.

Family
Roger and Soben have one son, Ponnaro Aiden Pin. In 2010, They moved the headquarters of the KhmerPost USA to Lowell, Massachusetts to better serve the Cambodian population in this city and the rest of the New England. They live in Lowell’s historic Boott Cotton Mills

Ponnaro Aiden Pin
KhmerPost USA history would not complete without Ponnaro Aiden Pin, their only son. Aiden is smart and resilient. He grew up around the newspaper and understands his parents commitment and devotion to the newspaper and the people they serve. He endured the long rides, the hot sun, the long Sunday meetings, and try to make the best of the situation.
